A FIVE MINUTE SNOWMAN HELLO!!

School was cancelled today due to... EXPECTATIONS of lots of snow. (We got maybe 5 inches--but it WAS slippery stuff). Cheryl has been sick for a couple of days, we both needed a "catch-up" day on homework, and I needed to start studying for my (last!) mid-term exam. We slept in, did some housework, check book balancing, and napping. We should be good for school tomorrow (but Cheryl's voice is fading). Say HI to my snowman--spring is coming!

Lets drive to Bolivia!

These are four of twenty-five pictures sent to me by a missionary friend. I like heights, and interesting scenery, but I do not think I could drive this road unless it was by motorcycle.

HOMECOMING PICTURES

Here are the requested pictures of us in silly costume: Dan as "masquerade day" and "school colors day", Cheryl as "class colors" and "school colors" days. Also a shot of the winning wall (won by the sophomores and juniors). My freshmen did not place, but we did win the victory banner for cheering in the pep rally.

It's Homecoming time!!

Each class creates a wall decoration based on this year's theme, (conquering heroes) in a span of about 48 hours. I sponsor the 9th grade (only 11 students this year). Mario is our hero. The walls were judged today, we will know how we did on Friday night.

TOTAL DEPRAVITY.....

My last class for a Master's Degree in History is the History of Mexico. I was aware of the Aztec practice of daily human sacrifice, the sacrifice of a still-beating human heart to ensure the rising of the sun, but I was required to read this book that goes into the gory details and explains even more of the 18 yearly sacrifices, the satanic and totally depraved religion of the Aztecs. It was an extremely difficult book to read, but an illustration of the depths the human condition can go and the enslavement associated with the forces of EVIL. I do not recommed reading the book, but I certaily have a much deeper appreciation of the Grace of God extended to me and to the human race!
