August 24, Dan received an award (of cash) for winning a Graduate school essay contest. It was a nice "two-fer"--money and a grade. Praise God for His enablement (this was an especially agonizing paper to write), and for the provision of money to help off-set the expenses of traveling to oregon for Nate & Lissa's wedding! His was one of three awards from the College of Humnities and Social and Behavorial Studies. School begins Monday morning, and already appears to be the start of a great year. Our Junior-Senior High is slightly larger, as is the Elementary and Preschool are up, too. Cheryl will have a class of 19 second graders.

Wee, the Muth's are in their new house. There is still probably one more load from the Jane Drive house to move, but they are in and spent the night on Corrinne Dr. There are lots of boxes and a bedroom full of a lot of their stuff, but it is livable.
Jenny says Aaron turned himself over--twice. At 18 days old? What does the future Hold!!?

Here is a new photo of Aaron at about two weeks. He does a lot of this--sleeping. He even occasionally sleeps up to 5 hours a night! Jenny is feeling much better, as well! We are close to fully installing the counter tops in their house, with that done and a functioning sink, stove and refrigerator, the kitchen will be done enough to move in. Smoke dectectors are also seen as "must's" before move in. I was planning to work there all day today, but instead my kidney stones began an avalanche, I have a fever so I went to see a doctor instead--a picture of my kidneys tomorrow. I hope I can help Michael on Friday, so move-in can be Saturday.

Nate and Lissa news: Nate will be starting a full-time job on Wednesday (Aug. 16) working for a finish carpenter ("finish" is the task, not the nationality!) who has a reputation for excellent quality anf quick work. Nate will be learning from the ground up as he has littel experience in that line. Lissa is just finishing up a short job assignment through a temp agency--pray for an acceptable full-time situation. They have signed a one year lease on an appartment. It is the lower floor of a 200 year-old house. It is in Litiz, just a block from Nate's new employer, so a ride to work is built-in and Lissa will be able to have the car when needed. I don't have an address for them yet.

Jenny and Michael's little Aaron Carter Muth is now home from the hospital, Jenny is beginning to feel better as the swelling in her legs and feet are rapidly going down, and her incision is healing. Michael has been bonding with Aaron--but thinking he should prpbably go back to work soon! Cheryl has been helping out at the Muth's in various ways. The Muth house on Corrine St. is starting to receive boxes and things as "the move" will be soon--perhaps this weekend. Dan spent Friday and Saturday helping to install a big new playground piece--six slides!
