We cleaned out the attic. I cleaned out the basement. We cleaned out some drawers and closets. We told some friends we were having a "U-PRICE" yard sale for the CBA scholarship fund. We put an ad in the paper and made some BRIGHT pink signs. The day was cloudy with a threat of rain that never quite produced. We got up at 5:00 to set up (having put up tables the day before). People began to arrive almost immediately. Friends brought more things to sell. More people came. The LORD sent us $325 worth of sales (not counting the $1 million gospel tract.)! Praise the Lord! And we are exhausted. There is a predicted 60% chance of rain tomorrow, but we may finish the sale if it does not rain.

HAIL--the size of...well one is almost the size of a golf ball. Since these were gathered in a torrential downpour of rain and I did not try to pick out the largest, and they have melted some, so I guess we will say the size of golf balls. Monday and Tuesday we had some pretty scary thunderstorms, Tuesday the hail came with the rain and Wednesday there were reports of sightings of tornado's in Sanford and Midland, but none touched down. (Since I had cleaned most of the basement, Cheryl actually volunteered to wait out the storm there!). At our house, we did not lose any trees or significant limbs for a change, but some of our neighbors did, especially on the other side of Sanford Lake. Today, the weather was WONDERFUL!! Temperature reached a high of 75, sunny and a pleasing breeze. That's Michigan weather for you!

The old blond piano is no longer--now it is black. First, a coat of gray primer, then a nice coat of black Rustoleum (because that is what I had in gloss black). It turned out pretty good! You can look back at a prior posting to see the "before" picture.
