The big day came--the installation of foam insulation. In just 4 hours, the whole house (walls) was insulated. Of course, I had pulled off some of the siding and all of the soffet, so much of the prep work was already done. We are hopeful that winter heating will be less expensive than it was last winter, or at least less expensive than it would have been without insulation. Retrofoam is more expensive than cellulose, but superior in many ways.
