HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! As of August 18, we have been married 34 years--and they have been fantastic years. One of the things we did to celebrate was to visit some antiques shops in Bay City, where we found this little "L. Hitchcock" reproduction table. It fits beautifully in our kitchen. The "pointed" ends of the table are drop-leaf, so it gets even smaller! But with the two added leaves, it will extend to be six feet long!
SAD DAY. Our "old faithful" Buick finally died. We had to take it to the junk yard where Mr. Sova gave us $50 for it. It lasted for 5 years after we bought it serving as our "truck" for the last year or so. Now we are a one car family again. It was a "good ole" friend.

The bathroom project is now finished! We were able to put in new free carpet in the bathroom and laundry rooms, a new vanity in the bathroom and new bead board behind the sink. In the pictures, you will see the finished project, Dan's attempt at installing carpet under the tub (that old tub is a GREAT place to soak off the aches and pressures of the day!), how we used the old carpet as a pattern for the new, and the "gutted" old.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Sweet JENNY!
Last night we babysat Aaron while Jenny and Michael went out to celebrate her birthday. Here are some pictures of the evening. Dan had put away Jenny's favorite thumb-sucking blanket years ago in the attic. We found it this summer and gave it to her for her birthday -- what memories that brings back. Michael went and got his, too.
