We were all excited to get the walls painted with double coats of paint, and the painting of the floor (think of it as very thin carpet) really made the Muth house look clean and new. Cheryl and I have never moved in to a house that was fully painted. There are still things to do (light fixtures, cabinets and sink to set in the kitchen, etc.) before move-in--but we are oh-so-close!

Nathan, Lissa and her parents Shelley and Eric are now all safely at our house for the reception tomorrow. Jenny and Michael ar still working on their house and waiting for baby Muth (did I hear "Gunter Von and Gertrude Von being mentioned?). Cheryl and Shelley have been doing and visiting. Eric just got here last nite. Yesterday Dan got notice he won an essay contest at Central Michigan U.--for money!! He entered a contest for Michigan Historical review, as well (a different essay) so we are hoping for good news there as well. Dan's family arrives tomorrow--BigParty!!

Nate and Lissa's wedding was fantastic--what a joy to have Lissa as the newest member of our family. Our last night in Oregon, we could see Mt. Hood out of our hotel room window! The flights home were uneventful, but it was a very long day. Since being home, Dan began his class on American Diplomatic History (about 30 pages to read daily, Midterm on July 14, 10 page paper on the 17th, final exam on Aug 3-plus class daily 10:00-12:00). Cheryl has worked on preparing for guests (the Stuewe's, Nate and Lissa), arranging for sleeping arrangements at our house, preparing for the wedding reception for the new Forbes', and trying to get our home in shape after two weeks of neglect (while we were away). Dan has also tried to work at the school to make a little cash. It has been hectic. Nate and Lissa have begun their journey across country. Jenny is feeling increasingly uncomfortable in her expectant state, while Michael has been furiously trying to get their house ready to move in to. We are sensing that the baby may be here before the house is ready. We will see.
